Choosing a copier
The best trade copier for prop firm traders
The best trade copier for you is the one that supports every account you hold, never doubles a trade, and lets each account keep its own limits. Here is what to look for, and how Replica Copier answers each point, including what it does not do yet.
What prop firm traders need
- Every account you hold. Your accounts may sit at several firms, on Tradovate, Rithmic and TopstepX. The copier must reach all of them and mix them in one group.
- No doubled or missed trades. After a reconnect or a restart, a trade must not be copied twice, and an order with an unclear outcome must never be re-sent blindly.
- Limits per account. Each firm has its own daily loss and size limit, so each account needs its own rule, not one rule for the group.
- A fast way out. One click that closes a whole group and confirms each account is flat.
- Exits that live at the broker. Take-profit and stop-loss held by the broker, so they stay in place if your PC or internet stops.
- Sizing per account. Different multipliers, and Micro or Mini contracts, per follower.
- A price that does not grow with every account.
- Your firm’s rules respected. Some firms require orders from your own device, and all of them ban copying between different people.
How Replica Copier answers each point
| What you need | Replica Copier |
|---|---|
| Brokers | Tradovate (and NinjaTrader accounts on the Tradovate sign-in), Rithmic and ProjectX / TopstepX; any account can lead or follow, mixed in one group |
| Trading platforms | Keep trading from TradingView, NinjaTrader, Tradesea, Quantower, Sierra Chart or ATAS; Replica copies the fills on the account |
| Doubled trades | Each fill is recorded for each follower before its order is sent, so reconnects and restarts never copy it twice |
| Unclear order outcome | Never re-sent blindly: that follower pauses, and resumes by itself once the broker shows it flat with no orders |
| Limits per account | Daily Loss, Daily Profit and Trades Limit on every account, with optional Enforce that closes and locks the account until the 17:00 Chicago reset |
| Way out | Flatten and Flatten All on the first click, confirmed flat with the broker, and always possible inside a session |
| Exits at the broker | The leader’s take-profit and stop-loss as one native OCO bracket on Tradovate and Rithmic followers; on TopstepX with Auto OCO |
| Sizing | ×0.1 to ×5 per follower, rounded up; match the leader, Micro or Mini; optional Max Minis and Max Micros |
| Speed | In our tests, about 5 to 15 milliseconds from the leader’s fill to the follower orders being sent; the broker’s own time comes on top (why) |
| Where it runs | Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) app today, which must be open while you trade. Mac, phone and cloud versions are coming soon. Passwords and API keys stay on your PC. |
| Accounts and price | Unlimited accounts, no per-account fees. Essentials: $50 a month, $135 every 3 months or $480 a year (USD), 3-day free trial, no per-account fees. Sign-ups are opening soon. |
What Replica does not do yet
- Mac, phone and cloud. Replica is a Windows app today, and copies only while it is open.
- Copying working orders. An unfilled limit or stop entry on the leader is copied when it fills, not before.
- TradingView alerts or webhooks as a leader. Replica copies fills on a leader account, not alerts.
- Forex, crypto, stocks or MetaTrader. Replica is for futures only.

Check any copier the same way
Whatever you choose, test it with one micro contract before you trust it with full size, and keep your firm’s own limits as your main safety net. The full checklist: eight questions to ask before you choose a trade copier.
