Lucid Trading’s copy trading rules
From Lucid Trading’s own pages, checked on October 29, 2026. Firms change these rules often: open the sources and confirm before you start.
- Copiers are allowed. Lucid: “Automated trading systems and trade copiers are permitted.” “All automated activity must comply with Lucid Trading rules.”
- You are responsible. “Traders are fully responsible for any software errors, malfunctions, or unintended outcomes.”
- No hedging, anywhere. Lucid bans hedging across one user’s accounts, between users and between firms, including a Mini against a Micro of the same contract and correlated contracts such as long ES against short NQ.
- Live accounts. “Hedging live accounts is strictly prohibited by both Lucid and the CME. This includes any copytrader issues that may arise.”
- Account limits. “Up to 10 active evaluation accounts per household or family,” “Up to 5 active funded accounts per household or family,” and “a maximum of 10 accounts in total”.

What Replica does on Lucid Trading accounts
- Any of your Lucid Trading accounts can lead or follow, at its own multiplier from ×0.1 to ×5, rounded up to a whole contract.
- Mix firms in one group. A leader on one firm can copy into followers at other firms and on other connections.
- Fill-driven copying. Followers are sent their orders when the leader fills, so a cancelled leader order never leaves a stray order on a follower.
- A risk limit per account. Set Daily Loss, Daily Profit and Trades Limit on every account, inside the firm’s own limits, with optional Enforce.
- One-click exits. Flatten closes one account and Flatten All closes the whole group, on the first click.
- Unlimited accounts, no per-account fees. One price however many accounts you copy into.
What to watch
- Each account keeps its own limits. Copying does not merge accounts: every account has its own drawdown, daily loss and size limit at the firm.
- Fill prices can differ. Followers enter at market after the leader fills, so in fast markets their prices can differ from the leader’s.
- One copier per account. Turn off any other copier on the accounts Replica copies into; two copiers copy every trade twice.
- Same direction only. Copying into opposite positions across accounts is hedging, and firms ban it.
- MetaTrader 4 or 5, forex, crypto or stocks. Replica is for futures only.
- Mac, phone and cloud versions. Not yet: they are coming soon. Today Replica runs on Windows and copies only while the app is open.
- TradingView alerts or webhooks as a leader. Replica copies trades that fill on the leader account, not alerts.
How to set it up
- Check whether each Lucid account trades through Tradovate (NinjaTrader, Tradovate, TradingView) or Rithmic.
- Install Replica on the Windows PC you trade from and sign in.
- Open Connections: choose Tradovate (or NinjaTrader) and sign in on Tradovate’s page, or choose Rithmic and enter the login and System Lucid gives you.
- Turn off any other copier on those accounts, including R|Trader Pro’s copier on Rithmic.
- Create a copy group in Cockpit, all in the same direction. When followers trade Micros against a Mini leader, every account stays on the same side.
- Set a daily loss limit on every account on the Risk page, inside Lucid’s own limits, and test with one micro contract.
