The prop firm playbook
Which prop firms allow a trade copier? The rules, firm by firm
Which futures prop firms allow copy trading between your own accounts, the rules every firm shares, and what to check before you connect a copier.
Most futures prop firms let you copy trades between your own accounts. The details differ: which accounts, which copiers, and which platforms. Breaking a firm's copy rule can cost you the account, so check before you connect anything.
The rules almost every firm shares
- Your accounts only. Copying between different people, or trading as a group, is banned everywhere.
- Same direction. Opposite positions across accounts (hedging) are banned.
- You are responsible. If the copier makes a mistake, the firm treats it as your trade.
- Account limits still apply. Each firm caps how many funded accounts you can hold.
Firm by firm

Before you connect a copier
- Read your firm's current copy trading rule (links above).
- Check the firm allows third-party copiers, not only its own, and whether it keeps an approved list.
- Make the account with the smallest size limit your leader, so no follower is pushed over its own limit.
- Turn off any other copier on those accounts. Two copiers double every trade.
- Set a daily loss limit on every account, inside the firm's own limit. See daily loss limits per account.
- Test with one micro contract first.
