The prop firm playbook
Why every copied account needs its own daily loss limit
Copying multiplies your size, and your risk. How per-account daily loss, daily profit and trade limits protect a group of prop firm accounts.
A trade copier multiplies every trade, including the bad ones. One revenge trade on the leader becomes ten revenge trades across your accounts. Per-account limits are how you stop one bad day from ending every account at once.
Why per account, not per group
Each prop firm account has its own balance, its own drawdown and its own daily limit. A group-wide limit cannot respect all of them. Limits set per account can.
The limits worth setting
- Daily loss: set it inside the firm's own daily limit, so your rule fires before the firm's does.
- Daily profit: stop after a good day; some firms' consistency rules reward this.
- Trades per day: a hard cap on overtrading. Replica counts round trips, flat to flat.
- Contract cap and symbol lockout: stop the wrong size or the wrong market.
Make it stick
A limit you can edit mid-session is a suggestion. Replica's Soft lock hides the Edit button for a time you choose. With Enforce on, a breached daily limit cancels orders, closes the account and locks it until the 17:00 Chicago trading-day reset.
Set it up: daily loss, daily profit and trades limit.
