The prop firm playbook
How many prop firm accounts can you have? Limits by firm, and how to run them
Each futures prop firm caps how many funded accounts one trader can hold. The limits at Topstep, Tradeify and MyFundedFutures, what counts toward them, and how to run several accounts as one.
There is no single answer: each prop firm sets its own limit on how many accounts one trader can hold at the same time. The limit usually applies to funded accounts, sometimes to evaluations too, and often to your whole household, not only to you.
The limits at three firms
From each firm's own rules, checked on October 29, 2026. Firms change these often: open the source and confirm before you buy another account.
| Firm | Funded accounts at once | Also worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| Topstep | Up to 5 active Express Funded Accounts. Source | Topstep says the number may change with your activity or other Topstep programs. |
| Tradeify | Up to 5 simulated funded accounts, in any combination of its funded account types. Source | Counted per person and per household. While you hold an Elite Live account you may hold no other Tradeify accounts. |
| MyFundedFutures | Up to 5 Sim-Funded Accounts with only $25K and $50K sizes; 3 in total if any of them is $100K or $150K. Source | Up to 10 active evaluations. Some plans have lower caps of their own. |
For any other firm, search its help center for "multiple accounts" or "maximum accounts" before you buy.
What usually counts toward the limit
- Funded and evaluation accounts are counted separately. Evaluations can have a different limit, or none.
- Your household can count as one. Some firms add up the accounts of everyone in the same household.
- Live accounts change the rules. Moving to a live account can lower how many other accounts you may keep.
Running several accounts as one
Holding five accounts is the easy part; trading them the same way, at the right size, without mistakes is the hard part. A trade copier lets you trade one leader account and have the others follow it, each at its own size. Before you start, check that your firm allows copying between your own accounts: see which prop firms allow a trade copier.
Replica has no limit of its own on accounts: one plan covers every follower and connection, so the only limit is your firm's. For the day-to-day setup, read a calm system for running many prop firm accounts and why every copied account needs its own daily loss limit.
