Demo or Live for a Tradovate account
Most prop firm accounts, funded ones included, are Demo.
When you connect Tradovate or NinjaTrader, Replica asks whether the login is Demo or Live. It decides which Tradovate environment Replica signs in to, so it has to match where the account actually lives.
- Prop firm evaluation and funded accounts are usually Demo, even when the payouts are real.
- Your own brokerage account with real money is Live.
If you pick the wrong one, the sign-in works but your accounts do not show. Remove the connection and add it again with the other choice. If you are not sure, your firm’s dashboard or welcome email says which environment the account uses.
A login with accounts in both environments needs two connections, one Demo and one Live.
