First steps
What you need to run Replica
Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), a stable connection, and your broker logins.
Computer
- Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit. The installer refuses 32-bit Windows and anything older than Windows 10.
- Microsoft Edge WebView2. Replica's window uses it. Windows 11 already has it; the installer adds it on Windows 10 if it is missing.
- A stable internet connection. Wired is better than Wi-Fi for anything that trades.
Replica must be open for copying and risk rules to work, so run it on a PC that stays on while you trade. A Windows VPS works for most brokers, but some prop firms require orders to come from your own device (Topstep does for TopstepX); check your firm's rules.
Accounts
- Tradovate or NinjaTrader: your normal sign-in (you sign in on Tradovate's own page).
- Rithmic: the username, password and System name your prop firm gave you.
- TopstepX: your platform username and a ProjectX API key.
